AMAZING footage, i currently just shoot still camera shot weddings in georgia, but im looking to go to video too, i think yall have inspired me to move to that technology, what kind of supports are yall using? or is it all hand held?
No, I don’t recommend ever shooting handheld with these DSLRs, unless you’re filming a Cloverfield-style wedding.
The most common stabilization device I use is a plain, simple monopod. I’ve used the Glidetrack, Kessler Pocket Dolly, tripods, Glidecam Pro 2000 HD, a home-made rig and other stabilization tools, but for a wedding I find that monopods are versatile, don’t draw much attention to themselves, and provide for all sorts of shots.
Someday soon I plan to make a little tutorial on monopod techniques. I’ll post it on my creative blog: garrettgibbons.com/blog.
